Project Officer

The European Association of Manufacturing Technologies (CECIMO) is looking for a new staff member to join its Brussels-based team. 

About the Association

Founded in 1950, CECIMO is an umbrella organisation dedicated to promoting the common interests and values of European manufacturing technologies. It encompasses the European machine tools and additive technologies and works to improve the global competitiveness and leadership of the European Advanced Manufacturing Industry. 

CECIMO is specialised in EU regulatory and policy issues, mainly in the field of industrial policy, competitiveness, digital and green transition, market surveillance, trade, research & innovation, skills and education. 

About the role

As a Project Officer at CECIMO, you will be responsible for managing the communication, dissemination and exploitation in all CECIMO EU-funded projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely delivery of all project tasks assigned to CECIMO.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify industry needs in R&I and new project collaborations in areas such as robotics, manufacturing process, AI, cybersecurity, additive manufacturing, skills development, etc.
  • Implement communication tasks and events managements tasks within a specific work package of communication, dissemination and exploitation. This includes developing digital content (flyers, posters, templates etc.), press releases, newsletters, and articles, as well as setting out exploitation plans.
  • Carry out lobbying activities for EU innovation strategy and policy.
  • Participate in meetings on ongoing projects, activities, and related subjects.
  • Manage financial and technical reporting for all projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals to facilitate the submission process.      
  • Monitor relevant open calls and update CECIMO’s funding booklet.

Requirements:

  • University degree in EU Studies, EU Project management, Communication or Political science.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in EU project management.
  • Experience with Horizon Europe and Erasmus + funded projects.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with a strong command of English.
  • Experience in managing social media, newsletter and websites, and handling promotional campaigns.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with SharePoint. Knowledge of Canva is a plus.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to details

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
