RECENT NEWS
INDUSTRIAL FORUM PROJECT

CECIMO has kicked off the work of the Industrial Forum Project Team on Boosting AI Uptake in Manufacturing and Robotics, which it is co-leading.

The Project Team brings together industry, member states, trade union and other relevant experts to support the wider adoption of artificial intelligence in manufacturing and robotics. Its work will focus on bridging the gap between AI research and its practical deployment in industry by identifying the main barriers companies face, as well as the conditions and support needed to enable wider uptake.

Building on industry experience and concrete deployment cases, the Project Team will develop policy recommendations aimed at facilitating the practical integration of AI into manufacturing and creating the right enabling environment for European industry to benefit from these technologies.

JOINT STATEMENT FOR A BOLD FP10

The Draghi report highlights a stark reality: Europe’s productivity has stalled, its innovation gap is widening, and its economic position is at risk.
Competitiveness Compass and the EU’s political guidelines place research, development and innovation (RD&I) at the heart of Europe’s strategy to reverse this trend. We, the undersigned — 86 European associations representing key RD&I stakeholders — fully endorse this diagnosis and urgently call on EU Institutions to act with commensurate ambition in designing and funding the next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10).
