CECIMO Fall Meetings 2020 – Reserved for CECIMO Delegates only

For safety reasons linked to COVID-19, the CECIMO General Assembly will take place online on 3 December 2020.

On 3rd December, we will kick-off with the Digital Board Meeting (reserved for Board members only) followed by Keynote Speech by Mr Eric-Mark Huitema, Director General of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). Right after, the Digital General Assembly will take place.

Please note that Committee meetings will take place in form of webinars through the months of November and December as it follows:

  • 12 November, 14:00 – 15:00 (CET) – Economic Committee: “Economic and Market Situation: Global MT Industry – Overview & Outlook”
  • 02 December, 11:00 – 12:30 (CET) – Additive Manufacturing Committee: Additive Manufacturing European Conference
  • Technical Committee: Post Brexit Marking: towards a new technical certification framework – overview and challenges (exact date TBD)

The next meeting will take place in Edinburgh (UK) from 5 to 8 June 2021. Information will be published in due time.

Meet our keynote speaker!

ERIC-MARK HUITEMA

Director General, ACEA

Eric-Mark Huitema is the Director General of the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), a position he has held since October 2019.

Prior to his ACEA appointment, Mr Huitema acted as Global Smarter Transportation Leader at IBM, where he focussed on optimised transport solutions for governments and smart cities, as well as the private sector. In this capacity, he was member of the Corporate Partnership Board of the International Transport Forum (ITF), the board of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA) and the supervisory board of ERTICO (ITS Europe).

Before joining IBM, Mr Huitema worked in the IT sector, including for Liberty Global’s broadband internet start-up Chello Benelux (which he co-founded and led as Global Vice President), EDS International and Philips Electronics.

A Dutch national, Eric-Mark Huitema studied technical chemistry at Delft University of Technology and business and sales administration at INSEAD.
