Marc has over 25 years of experience in precision manufacturing and, in his role as Director of AM Applications, he helps manufacturers to develop industrial AM processes. He leads Renishaw’s global network of AM Solutions Centres, where customers can access innovative AM equipment and application engineering support.
Matthias Schmidt-Lehr
Matthias Schmidt-Lehr has managed countless projects to introduce Additive Manufacturing in the industry. Prior to joining Ampower as Managing Partner, he built up a manufacturing service provider for metal Additive Manufacturing. His focus is on AM strategy, component screening, business model development, design optimization, training and education.
Stewart Lane
In 2000, Stewart joined his current employer, Renishaw plc. For the past 5 years, he has held a number of corporate positions, including responsibility for general management of Renishaw’s UK and Ireland sales subsidiary and as the Group’s Corporate Business Development Manager. During this time he has been instrumental in establishing Renishaw’s Additive Manufacturing customer solution centres and setting up strategic alliances with other Additive Manufacturing companies.
Filip Geerts
Filip Geerts is the Director General of CECIMO. He is specialised in the management of corporate and governmental affairs departments of companies, national and EU trade associations and non-profit organisations. He was deputy-director for the largest Belgian association for the technology industry, public and regulatory affairs manager for IBM (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and secretary general for numerous European trade associations. He has degrees from Insead Fontainebleau and Singapore, London School of Economics, Vlerick, College of Europe, The Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve and the Catholic University of Leuven in commercial engineering.
Philip Oris
Since 2016, Philip Oris has been a Business Development Director with SLM Solutions, a leading provider of metal additive manufacturing equipment. With Masters’ in mechanical and biomedical engineering, he has over 14 years of experience in additive manufacturing, specializing on medical and dental applications.
Marco Göbel
Mr. Göbel has over 10 years of experience in Laser Metal Deposition and Additive Manufacturing with a strong background in laser technology. During the period 2008-2017, he was research associate and project manager in the Laser Metal Deposition group at Chair for Laser Technology (LLT) RWTH Aachen University and Fraunhofer ILT, Aachen, while from 2017 to 2019, Senior Application Engineer and Product Line Manager for LMD at Coherent|OR-Laser. Since 2019, he is Industry Manager for Surface Technologies, LMD at Trumpf.
Patrick Mehmert
Mr Mehmert studied Technomathematics at the Technical University of Clausthal and was promoted to a doctor of engineering about simulation of welding processes. He has spent more than 11 years in the sector of analytical engineering services for aerospace. In 2015, Mr Mehmert joined Simufact to become the Product Manager of the new Additive Manufacturing product.
Nick Cruchley
For the past 7 years, Mr Cruchley has worked in the field of Additive Manufacturing at both The MTC and the University of Birmingham, where he studied for an EngD. During this time he has amassed experience in metal AM with a particular focus on powder bed fusion.
