Filip Geerts, CECIMO Director General, will be participating as an expert in an Industrial Policy Task Force meeting organized by the European Policy Center

On 27 June 2013, the European Policy Centre (EPC) is organizing an Industrial Policy Task Force meeting in Brussels called “A European Framework for Competitiveness:  what needs to be done?” At this occasion, Filip Geerts, CECIMO Director General, will provide input on how to enhance the competitive advantage provided by the EU Single Market, from the point of view of the machine tool industry.
 
To other experts, Lauro Pannella, Member of the Cabinet of European Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship Antonio Tajani, and Guido Lobrano, Coordinator of BUSINESSEUROPE’s activities on the Single Market, will also provide input to the discussion. The members of the Task Force will be invited to react to the presentation of the experts, to express views on the different topics mentioned and to contribute to the discussion on what needs to be done to create a European framework for competitiveness. The workshop will be chaired by Gabriel Crean, EPC Academic Fellow and European Director of CEA-Tech.
