Applications are welcome from any European actor (EU + UK+ EFTA + Türkiye) in the machine tool industry, such as organisations, start-ups, SMEs, Large Corporations, research and/or training centres, and funded projects consortia.     

Please note that: 

• Applications received from countries outside the indicated geographical areas will not be considered. 
• Applications from organisations represented on the judging panel are not eligible to enter the MTI Awards competition.  

Awards will be presented in the following categories:

Main category:

• MTI Award | Best Overall Innovation

Sub-categories:

• Green Impact Award  (Solutions with outstanding sustainability potential—reducing CO₂, cutting material use, and supporting a greener future). 
• Innovative Start-up Award  (Projects that recognise the best solutions presented by a start-up, highlighting innovative contributions across various fields).

• Project Specifications: Outline features, functionality, and performance criteria that the project should meet. (10 points) – Up to 3 slides
• Uniqueness of proposal: Evaluate the originality and innovation of the organisation’s proposal. (10 points) – Up to 3 slides
• Contribution to the European Industry: Explain the potential impact of the proposed innovation on the European manufacturing sector and the machine tool industry. (5 points). – 1 slide
• Environmental impact: Outline the key impacts of the entire innovation project lifecycle in terms of long-term success and contribution to a sustainable future. (10 points). – Up to 3 slides

The applications will be evaluated by the jury, which will award a score based on 4 criteria out of a maximum of 35 points.

Note: All projects must be submitted in English, no later than 3rd July 2026.
