LAMIERA 2022 will take place one week earlier at Fieramilano Rho from 18-21 May
LAMIERA 2022, the international exhibition dedicated to the industry of sheet-metal forming machine tools and innovative technologies related to the sector, will take place one week earlier: the event is thus scheduled at fieramilano Rho from 18 to 21 May 2022.
The exhibition has been moved up due to a necessary reorganisation in the calendar of the trade fairs held at fieramilano, as a consequence of the public health conditions that have imposed a postponement of all events scheduled for the first quarter of the current year.
Events taking place in the months of May and June, which had not been scheduled before, also occupying large exhibition spaces and requiring very long setting-up times, have compelled fieramilano to ask all the involved organising bodies to arrange new “date combinations”, in order to ensure that all exhibitions in the new agenda can be held properly.
Therefore, LAMIERA will take place seven days earlier than its scheduled date to guarantee appropriate organisation times for exhibitors participating in the event. LAMIERA will be followed by the Milan Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile), which will be held in June and will also have very long setting-up times.
Promoted by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian machine tools, robots and automation systems manufacturers' association, and organised by CEU-CENTRO ESPOSIZIONI UCIMU, LAMIERA is however scheduled for the month of May and, with its over 200 already collected applications to exhibit, intends to repeat the success of the two previous editions hosted in Rho-Milan.
“In agreement with fieramilano – stated Alfredo Mariotti, general manager of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE – given the importance of the event, we thought it necessary to maintain the trade show in the same period, i.e. in the second half of May. Considering the rapid return to normal standards that we are experiencing over the last few weeks, the increasingly extensive vaccinations and the experience we have acquired during two years of pandemic, we know that LAMIERA will be held in a period that can be considered safe with regard to the public health emergency”.
“We should not forget that, while organising numerous events in the Covid period, our staff and that of fieramilano have now gained a long-standing experience in the field to define safety standards and procedures to be adopted, in order to enable a comfortable and safe stay within the exhibition centre”.
“The decision to bring LAMIERA forward by one week - added Alfredo Mariotti – implies a big investment in terms of communication and promotion by us the organisers with all the public concerned: exhibitors, visitors, journalists. We are very pleased to make this investment, feeling sure that our activity will allow to minimise, or even completely eliminate any possible inconvenience for the operators involved. The exhibiting companies of LAMIERA will be offered a trade show rich in content and ideas, which will thus attract lots of visitors”.
“After all – concluded Alfredo Mariotti – this choice to meet the requirements of the host exhibition centre and of the organisers of other trade shows gives credit to the industry represented at LAMIERA, as one of those which, while understanding the problems caused by the public health crisis for the sector of trade fairs, contribute to its relaunch and development, aware of the crucial and irreplaceable role of exhibitions in supporting the business activity of manufacturing enterprises”.
