The world of metalworking opens its door in Hannover
Today the President of CECIMO, Dr. Roland Feichtl, officially opened the world’s premier trade fair for the metalworking industry – EMO Hannover. Over the next five days, more than 100,000 will visit the world's largest fair devoted to innovations in metalworking technology.
This year's showcase focuses on smart technologies through the eyes of Industry 4.0 and Additive Manufacturing and it welcomes more than 2000 exhibitors from over 48 countries.
During this event, CECIMO will host different activities. Among others, we run a booth presenting the Trinity Project. At the booth, we will have a virtual reality corner and it will show a demo-case about human – robot collaboration. There will be a demonstration of a vision-based safety system for human-robot collaborative assembly of diesel engine components.
On 16 September, we organize a Press Conference to show how geopolitical aspects are affecting the machine tool market.
On 17 September, we organize the ‘International Conference on Additive Manufacturing’. The conference will look at the latest productivity solutions in the AM market and will be followed by the Press conference, which will provide you with answers to some burning questions regarding the AM sector.
On 19 September, we organize the conference on ‘Robotics for Agile and Competitive Manufacturing’. The conference will show you how new robotic technologies can be used to improve the agility, productivity and competitiveness of manufacturing companies.
Once again, CECIMO will bring to EMO high-level EU officials and policy makers, with whom we will discuss ongoing challenges for the machine tool industry. Additionally, different meetings will be also hold with partners and other associations representing the international machine industry all over the world.
EMO Hannover is organized by the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW), located in Frankfurt/Main, on behalf of the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO).
