François Duval, CECIMO President
With an engineering degree from ICAM Lille, Mr. François Duval has pursued an outstanding career spanning nearly three decades within the FIVES Group, where he has held several high-level management positions and demonstrated exceptional leadership. Since July 2020, he has been Managing Director of GF Machining Solutions France. With over 20 years of experience in the machine tool industry, including six years as President of the Machine Tool Manufacturers and Importers Group within SYMOP (now EVOLIS), he has played a key role in shaping the sector. His international expertise extends across Eastern Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Douglas K. Woods, President, The Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT)
Douglas K. Woods joined AMT as its President in 2009. A lifelong manufacturing professional, Doug is dedicated to promoting the world’s most innovative manufacturing technology and positioning AMT as a leader on issues that impact the industry. In his time at AMT, Doug has led the effort in developing MTConnect, the industry-wide interoperability standard that has grown in usage across a wide scope of manufacturing operations around the world. Additionally, he has overseen the development of MTInsight, a customized manufacturing business intelligence platform, as well as an expansion of AMT’s Global Technology Centers and the growth of IMTS, the largest manufacturing technology event in the western hemisphere.
Kazuo Yuhara, President, Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA)
Kazuo Yuhara is currently the President of JMTBA, Japan’s Machine Tool Builders’ Association. In the past, he assumed various positions for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), including Director-General of the Hokkaido Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. He was also Senior Executive Officer Audit (2014-2018) and Supervisory Board Member (2018-2020) of the Toyota Tsusho Corporation.
Marcus Burton, Chairman of the CECIMO Economic Committee
Marcus Burton joined Yamazaki Mazak* as Group Business Development Director for Europe in October 2005. He was appointed Managing Director of Yamazaki Mazak U.K. Ltd in October 2007 and European Group Managing Director in January 2010 responsible to Japan for all Mazak’s European operations including Manufacturing, Engineering and the European Sales and Service subsidiary companies. Mr Burton was also appointed as a non-executive Director of Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd, with specific interest in future business direction and external relations. In addition to his on-going role as a special advisor for Mazak, Mr Burton is a past President and Board member of the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) and serves as Chairman of the Economic Committee of CECIMO, the European Association of Manufacturing Technologies
Jibak Dasgupta, Director General, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturer’s Association (IMTMA)
Mr. Jibak Dasgupta is the Director General and CEO of the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturer’s Association (IMTMA) and Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). With deep expertise in industrial policy, innovation, R&D, and entrepreneurship, he has led key initiatives across CII and collaborated with organizations like WIPO, INSEAD, NITI Aayog, and DST. His contributions include developing the Enterprise Innovation Maturity Framework and co-authoring chapters in the Global Innovation Index. He has also served on several national committees focused on science, technology, and innovation policy, playing a pivotal role in shaping India’s innovation ecosystem.
