Project Officer

The European Association of Manufacturing Technologies (CECIMO) is looking for a new team member to join its Brussels-based headquarters. 

About the Association 

Founded in 1950, CECIMO is an umbrella organisation dedicated to promoting the common interests and values of European manufacturing technologies. It encompasses the European machine tools and additive technologies and works to improve the global competitiveness and leadership of the European Advanced Manufacturing Industry. 

CECIMO is specialised in EU regulatory and policy issues, mainly in the field of industrial policy, competitiveness, digital and green transition, market surveillance, trade, research & innovation, skills and education.

About the role

As a Project Officer at CECIMO, you will be responsible for managing the communication, dissemination and exploitation of all CECIMO EU-funded projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure the timely delivery of all project tasks assigned to CECIMO.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify industry needs in R&I and new project collaborations in areas such as robotics, manufacturing process, AI, cybersecurity, additive manufacturing, skills development, etc.
  • Implement communication tasks and event management tasks within a specific work package of communication, dissemination and exploitation. This includes developing digital content (flyers, posters, templates, etc.), press releases, newsletters, and articles, as well as setting out exploitation plans.
  • Carry out lobbying activities for the EU innovation strategy and policy.
  • Participate in meetings on ongoing projects, activities, and related subjects.
  • Manage financial and technical reporting for all projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals to facilitate the submission process.      
  • Monitor relevant open calls and update CECIMO’s funding booklet.

 

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Political Science, International Studies, or a related field. A strong interest in EU public affairs is a plus;
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in EU project management, particularly under Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ programmes;
  • Solid understanding of project management, with additional knowledge in marketing and communications;
  • Strong organisational and multitasking ability with an eye for detail;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with a strong command of English;
  • Experience in managing digital communication channels, including social media, newsletters and websites, as well as planning and executing promotional campaigns;
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, and familiarity with SharePoint. Knowledge of Canva is a plus;
  • Flexible profile, able to work autonomously under high time pressure and workload.
