Event Overview
CECIMO Spring Meetings 2024, hosted by Technology Industries of Finland, took place in Tampere, Finland between 15-18 June 2024. The four-day programme included formal meetings, including the Board meeting, the General Assembly and the Economic Committee meeting. In addition, industry leaders engaged in insightful company visits, facilitating the exchange of experiences on current trends and challenges within the industry. Complementing these professional engagements, an interesting social programme allowed participants to explore the breathtaking Finnish nature and immerse themselves in the charm of Tampere.
Saturday, 15 June
CECIMO delegates arrived on 15 June. The 2024 Spring Meetings begun with a cocktail reception, followed by the Guru Speech and the Welcome Dinner for delegates and partners at the Original Sokos Hotel Ilves.
Sunday, 16 June
Sunday was reserved for exploring Tampere’s cultural and natural treasures. The day started with a guided tour of the Finnish Labour Museum Werstas, exploring Tampere’s industrial past. Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at the rotating Restaurant Näsinneula with stunning panoramic views. In the afternoon, participants had the option to choose between a traditional Finnish sauna experience at Hangaslahden Sauna or a guided hike in the scenic Kintulammi Hiking and Conservation Area.
Monday, 17 June
Monday morning’s agenda begun with the Breakfast Board Meeting. This was followed by the Economic Committee meeting to discuss the latest trends and the Open Forum, which provided a platform for lively debate on pressing issues. Exclusive company visits to Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy and Fastems Oy took place in the afternoon. Throughout the day, partners had the opportunity to enjoy cultural and natural experiences in the vibrant city of Tampere. A cocktail reception took place in the City Hall at 19:00. In the evening, we gathered for a prestigious gala dinner at Finlayson Palace.
Tuesday, 18 June
The final day of the CECIMO Spring Meetings started with the General Assembly. After the meeting, delegates and partners participated in a company visit at Nokia Oyj, followed by a light lunch.
